I am a veteran of data and technology industries and since Sep 2019 I have been fortunate enough to join Dynatrace – the leader in Cloud Observability, but at the same time a great people’s company. Playing something of a jack-of-all-trades in my career, I have been very close to both product development and people management. Running a business that I co-founded, for so many years, required me to be empathetic to my staff, be a hands-on coder and developer, but at the same time wear a business hat.My roles at Dynatrace since we sold our company have been varied. From Senior Data Engineer, building out the data science platform for the data scientists to build their models, to Team Captain to Product Owner, Software Development Director, Director of M&A Integration for R&D and now the Organization Lead for our internal Data Platform Capability in R&D.Some of my recent, and I would add rewarding, assignments have been to act as the interim lab-lead to acquisitions in Tallinn, Tel Aviv, Dublin and Brno. Working with the local teams to successfully integrate and establish new locations, plus help drive the product integration successfully forward, more than meeting all our targets during the process.I am a team player but also a coach and mentor – nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing our young team members grow into more responsibility and enjoying doing it at the same time.My background was in data science and analytics, and I feel I have a strong feeling about what it means to be data driven. These technical skills are used in my management roles, and I am always on the look out for opportunities to improve our knowledge with hard data driven facts. Outside of work you may find me having a beer and a laugh, on the golf course or at a chess board – all three equally enjoyed.
