Managing and developing the supply chain for one of Scotland 5 hubs. Hub South West comprises a number of public sector organisations (‘Participants’ and the Scottish Futures Trust) and a consortium of private sector partners collectively called Alliance Community Partnerships. Together we develop innovative, sustainable and value for money solutions for community services and infrastructure projects such as Schools and Health Centres. Our success is measured not just by the buildings we develop, but the economic development impact we make in our target area. My key objective has been to identify, inspire, upskill and motivate local contractors and consultants to take part in hub projects and connect them with our Tier 1 Contractors who undertake the construction work under contract to hub. I do this through 1-2-1 interactions, a networking club which meets monthly, management development programmes which run twice yearly and have over 120 graduate companies, and 3 local supplier showcases. All these events allow our SME clients to meet our Tier 1 contractors and gain pricing and partnership opportunities.
