About Gordon A. Rogers

As an ecosystem builder and network catalyst, Gordon is a cofounder of AgeTech Atlanta, a community of innovators aiming to reshape the future of aging. It is comprised of entrepreneurs, industry mavericks, educators, and influencers in the fields of AgeTech, eldercare, and longevity. Since its founding in Atlanta three years ago, the network has expanded to include communities across the US, including New York, Washington D.C, Chicago, Denver, and LA with more coming in 2025. In July of 2024, Gordon was appointed by Mayor Andre Dickens to serve on the Advisory Committee on Aging (ACA), a standing committee of the Atlanta Regional Commission and a required advisory body for the 10-county Atlanta Area Agency on Aging. Gordon came to the age tech sector after spending three decades as a serial entrepreneur in the online learning and ed-tech world. Beginning in 1992 he founded a company that created one of the industry’s first enterprise learning management systems. He bootstrapped the startup and exited in an IPO, via a merger with Paul Allen’s company, Asymetrix Learning in 1998, now Cornerstone. He then spent over two decades working with social enterprises in the ed-tech sector, including K-12, higher-ed and career-tech programs. Alternative pathways for workforce development, and immersive learning are two key areas he has continued to focus on. He has mentored early stage ventures in Techstars accelerators, at Georgia Tech's ATDC incubator and Venture Lab, as well as the Flashpoint accelerator. A social impact investor and entrepreneur, he mentored at Village Capital's Ed-Tech Accelerator and the Points of Light program. He has served as an advisor to many startups, including Authentica Solutions (acquired by Microsoft), Core Learning Exchange, Cadet Portfolio, and RapidLD (acquired by Tier 1).He is Past President of Atlanta Technology Angels, and serves on the Technology Association of Georgia's Top 40 committee. He is cofounder of The Siggie Awards, an annual gala event that recognizes the next generation of angel investors and mentors in the Atlanta startup ecosystem. He also serves as a guest lecturer and business competition judge at Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Emory's Goizuetta School of Business, University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University business schools. He has extensive experience as a non-profit board member (YMCA, Interfaith Outreach Home, The Lionheart School).Gordon has a BA in Economics, and an MSc in Engineering Economics from the University of New Brunswick, and an MBA from the University of British Columbia.

Listed skills include Start Ups, Entrepreneurship, Angel Investing, Venture Capital, and 33 others.
