The Neil Squire Society is the only national not-for-profit organization in Canada that has for over thirty years empowered Canadians with disabilities through the use of computer-based assistive technologies, research and development, and various employment programs.My main role is Distance Training Co-ordination on the Distance Computer Comfort program, This is a national program where volunteer tutors are paired with adults with disabilities to help them learn how to use computers, and make them more comfortable using them.Among my other roles, I am computer skills tutor on a number of Neil Squire projects. I also provide tutoring and technical support to the programs run by the Solutions team, and manage and resolves issues with Blackboard Collaborate online training platform.

Staffplus provide temporary and permanent labour to companies across central Scotland to number of different sectors including manufacturing, scientific and financial. As Server / PC Support Technician, I have been involved with -Executing a resent major IT system overhaul, including a site move, SBS 2003 server build, PC upgrades and a network migration. Building and integrated a Windows 2008 Server, as part of a new database installation, which now saves the company money.Constructing a corporate website to promote a new venture, which resulted in an increased business for the company.Managing PCs and servers using a remote connection from Canada.

Support services include server set up and management, helpdesk facilities and database development.As Network Engineer, I was an integral team player, offering IT and technical support services to over twenty business clients across Scotland.I was the level two support provider, including systems administration, to end-users at Prestwick Airport.

beCogent offers a diverse range of inbound and outbound call centre solutions to small, medium and large companies, including fully outsourced partnerships, services to complement and support an in-house operation, short and long-term consultancy and project work. I was part of a team responsible for providing onsite and remote helpdesk support to 3500 employees across 3 call centre sites. Was recipient of “Employee of the Month” and an “Employee of the Year” nomination for professionalism and positive feedback received from employees and directors.Working on the helpdesk, I had to expediently resolving resolving faults and issues with PC hardware, including network printers, and in-house and application software in a Windows environment.I was also involved with Windows 2000 / 20003 Server support including file and folder share maintenance, and the set up, testing and deployment of new PC images using Drive Image and RIS server.

In my capacity as Helpdesk technician, I dispensed helpdesk support to the customers of over 20 UK Internet access providers, sucessfully troubleshooting issues on various OS platforms. I was also honoured with an award for "original thinking" for resolving a networking issue, which saved the company having to spend money on additional hardware.I also trained and mentored fellow technicians in clients' Internet software.

Managed and directed all operations for the IT consulting business.

Within the Statistics and Modelling Science department, I ported a statistical software package between two OS platforms, and programmed a new user interface for the PC version.
