The Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) improves the health, safety and well-being of Texans with good stewardship of public resources. HHSC accomplishes this mission by delivering benefits and services to the public and by performing regulatory functions. The Medicaid/CHIP Services Division administers Medicaid and CHIP programs to eligible residents, providing critical health services and support to 4.5 million individuals in the state with the highest uninsured rate in the nation.I lead legislative analysis and implementation projects for Program Enrollment & Support, a 200+ person unit dedicated to ensuring eligible individuals are effectively and efficiently enrolled in Medicaid managed care programs. Other responsibilities include general operations management (including developing policies & procedures), broad project management, and the review and development of strategic communications and partnerships within the Medicaid/CHIP Services Division.

NYC DCA protects and enhances the daily economic lives of New Yorkers to create thriving communities. Within DCA, OFE focuses on initiatives that support New Yorkers and communities with low incomes in building wealth and improving their financial health. OFE is the first local government initiative in the country with the mission to educate, empower, and protect New Yorkers and neighborhoods with low incomes so they can build assets and make the most of financial resources.As Director of Operations, I led OFE’s operational and administrative functions, including liaising with the Agency’s HR, Finance, and General Counsel divisions. I also managed OFE’s budgets, developed contracts, and provided strategic management and oversight of OFE’s programs and initiatives.

The Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City is a nonprofit organization charged with identifying and cultivating strategic public-private partnerships in support of public programs. As Program Manager, I oversaw a portfolio of programs run by New York City Agencies that leverage private sector resources. In this capacity, I served both as a bridge between City government and funders and as a strategic thought partner to City Agency and City Hall staff in the development, design, and administration of public programs. Positioned at the crossroads of the nonprofit, government, and private sectors, the Mayor's Fund functions as an advocate, ensuring that the broader New York City community benefits from the strength of public policy and the innovative potential of private resources.My portfolio included programs related to public housing, financial empowerment, immigrant communities, cultural investments, and small businesses.

As Programs and Policy Associate, I oversaw the development and submission of grant proposals and progress reports to private funders (both individuals and institutions), and actively partnered with City Agency and City Hall staff to contribute to public program design.

Responded to changes to CRE’s business model through Performance Management and Knowledge Management initiatives that significantly increased organizational efficiency & work quality.--Performance Management: spearheaded the design and implementation of a performance management system for internal use to evaluate client services, assess employee performance, and effectively demonstrate achievement of organizational outcomes.--Knowledge Management (KM): serve as Project Manager for CRE’s KM initiative. Program responsibilities include: project manager for Knowledge Management System design with Alcoa, BCP; assisting Co-Directors and senior consultants with client work; designing and implementing Google-based knowledge management system; working with Director of Development to draft and edit final reports to foundations and city agencies; managing CRE’s relationship with Gray Matters Group. Other responsibilities: serving as liaison with Board of Directors; preparing quarterly Board meeting materials; coordinating meetings for Co-Directors.

Organized and hosted events in the Art Center to raise awareness and encourage Vassar students to utilize the museum’s extensive collection; conducted weekly planning meetings with committee members and museum administrators to plan and execute campus and community-wide events; promoted museum membership to ensure the continued development of said events; coordinated and directed fundraising activities for member events.

Youngest Director in team that led the nation’s largest FFPI office to raise nearly $1 Million for Environment New York and the Human Rights Campaign in the summer of 2009. Promoted to Recruitment Director in June, 2009. Personally recruited and presented campaign information to interviewees, and allocated interviews to the directing team. Established contact with high schools in an effort to educate young people and identify strong future applicants.
