I like learning about mechanical behavior of materials. Scientific experimentation and analysis inspires me. My research interests and competencies are tribology, fracture mechanics, surface engineering, experimental mechanics, and material characterization.I have experience in numerical modeling and finite element analysis of fracture and contact problems.I have hands on experience in designing, building, and programming experimental fixtures to measure adhesion, fracture, friction and wear. I build small engineering measurement fixtures in my free time.I am proficient in material characterization techniques like SEM, EDS, XRD, AFM, FTIR, UV spectroscopy, laser confocal microscopy, and optical profilometry.
