There is no disease such as cancer. Cancer is YOU. It is the aberrant signaling of your own cells and a catastrophic genetic failure unique to you and your DNA. Each person’s genetic code, environmental factors and immune system can create a completely unique tumor microenvironment that has never been seen before and will never be seen again. However, there is hope. Using drug discovery techniques, we hope to transform lead compounds into pharmaceuticals that will awaken the immune system to the presence of such tumors. I am trained as a cell biologist but have expanded my field of study to include chemistry and organic synthesis. I develop bioassays tailored to suit individual projects and have a large battery of assays at my disposal. As a senior researcher, I coordinate a team of computational chemists, organic chemists, biochemists and cancer biologists which demands communication of science in a clear, concise manner. I analyze, interpret and present data to my colleagues and interested pharmaceutical companies. I am well versed in sterile cell culture for both mammalian and bacterial cells. #immunooncology #drugdiscovery #cancerresearch #cellculture #immunotherapy
