I managed a shop of 5 in all operations of the Hamline University Theatre Light Shop, including hanging, focusing, board operation, implementation, improvement, and design. I also trained employees in all areas of lighting operation and collaborated with designers and other shop heads on all theatrical productions through Anne Simley Theatre.

Hamline University Theatre

I oversaw the operation and maintenance of Anne Simley Theatre and ensured that each event was presented in a safe and time effective manner. I coordinated with renters to provide all the technical support they needed and scheduled all technical workers.

I hung and focused lighting instruments for all productions, programmed lighting cues, ran an ETC Gio console, and solved electrical and organizational issues. I was also in charge of a majority of the clerical work done in the shop such as taking inventory, organization, and email correspondence.

In January 2017, I directed Hamline University Theatre's annual touring children's show. Throughout the month, I directed a cast of five that performed Steve and Kathy Hotchner's 'The Dinosaur Play' at nine different elementary schools across the Twin Cities area.

I aided first year students in their transition into college life. I provided these students with academic and emotional support as well as organized on and off campus events. My job was to guide these students and help them make the best decisions for their future and well-being.

I was the lighting designer for Hamline University Theatre's main-stage production of 'Hamlet' by William Shakespeare, directed by Jeff Turner.

I orchestrated a site-specific, outdoor event titled 'Shakespeare on the Lawn' which included a cast of eleven current students and alumni performing six different scenes from Shakespeare's works. Titles included: 'Macbeth,' 'Richard III,' 'As You Like It,' 'Twelfth Night,' 'Romeo and Juliet,' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream.'

I provided logistical and clerical support to the Development team via donor cultivation and research, coordinating event logistics, and assistance with design and production of donor and member materials. Programs I used as part of this position were: Donor Pro, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Constant Contact, and Paperless Post.

I collaborated with the Executive Director of the company on the marketing and logistics of their production "Love, Tonight," a collection of one acts produced through their Fledgling project. I coordinated with their artist/graphic designer to design the layout of the back of the postcard and the program.

I worked with the Development team to organize and keep up to date on volunteer and donor relations. I provided assistance in volunteer and donor information maintenance, Salesforce upkeep, data entry, and various research projects. My main project was brainstorming an improved framework for the company's young professionals program.

As a puppeteer for the City of Apple Valley's Mobile Puppet Theatre, I was tasked with creating engaging scripts appropriate for children between the ages of two to ten years old. As one of three puppeteers, I also memorized and performed six puppet shows a day for five days a week at 29 different parks around the city of Apple Valley during the months of.

I assisted fourth and fifth grade students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). I also helped to maintain appropriate classroom behavior with the students and provided a link between the teacher and students.
