I'm a student studying journalism and sociology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Currently, I am interning at the Harvard Press, a local newspaper based in Harvard, MA. There, I work closely with editors to develop skills like interviewing, communicating with local government and editing in accordance with the Press's stylebook and AP Style.Previously, I worked as an intern with ENSPIRE Magazine, where I produced over twenty articles, working with press releases and communicating with publicists. I also learned how to use Wordpress to format articles to be ready for publication.I have experience in multiple beats, including news, feature writing, arts and culture and opinion writing. I have honed these skills through my time at school newspapers like the Massachusetts Daily Collegian and The Spectrum and at my internships. I am looking for opportunities to gain on-the-ground reporting experience and further develop my writing skills.
