I'm a computer and software systems & applied mathematics student at QUT. I was the marketing manager for Women in Maths society in 2023 and the music society's jam session coordinator. I am passionate about problem solving, coding, mathematics and software. I'm a member of the QUT Blackbirds playing guitar. In my free time I also enjoy making music, video games, and reading. I worked on a vacation research project to investigate the disease multiple sclerosis. I analysed a system of ordinary differential equations describing the kinetics of immune cells, specifically, the interaction between T-cells and the degradation of Myelin. This allowed me to eventually model the ODEs with python to simulate the central nervous system's diseased state and investigate each of the parameters and how they will affect the condition of the central nervous system over time. The goal of investigating these equations and their parameters, was to investigate how to improve treatment of the disease by preventing demyelination or influencing the regrowth and repair of myelin.
