Through this role, I facilitated a comfortable and safe environment for all shoppers and employees by remaining accommodating and adaptable. I also handled customer transactions responsibly including both returns and exchanges to ensure accurate sale counts at the end of the day. Finally, I helped to organize inventory by shipping out online customer orders and accepting new items from headquarters with a rotating seasonal selection

In this role, I help further develop the University of Minnesota's Greek community. With the help of my Fraternity counterpart, I help plan our fraternity and sorority awards, Machy Days events, and homecoming week for up to 1,000 people to attend.

I learned how to manage multiple different customers and worked to ensure customer satisfaction and support throughout their dining experience by being attentive and polite. I learned valuable interpersonal communication skills, time management, and attention to detail by managing 5-7 tables at once. I learned how to better work as a team with other front-of-house staff and back-of-house staff.

I promote the safety and wellbeing of my chapter by providing mental health, first aid, and other resources for health promotion. I learned organized and became well versed in our chapter's by-laws governing our chapter's policies on health, education, and the honor system. I learned how to communicate productively with other members on how I could help them promote their health and comfort within the chapter and the university.

In this role, I mediated issues among children by being a third party to actively listen and give advice. I created and managed large group activities for children ranging from ages 3-8. I also learned how to communicate effectively and consistently with parents and children to facilitate a safe and fun summer camp environment.
