I am a second-year student in the School Psychology MA/AC program at the University at Buffalo. I earned a BA in Psychology (4.0 GPA) from Austin College where I completed an honors thesis focused on growth mindset theory. My background is comprehensive with experience in school, community, and residential setting and across ages 3 to 21. My undergraduate student teaching experience and minor in education helped me understand the unique challenges faced in the school environment and inspired me to pursue school psychology. Living and working in Texas, Ecuador, Colombia, and Costa Rica inspired my Spanish language studies and has informed my passion for working with diverse and underserved communities. I developed strong crisis management, behavior management, and communication skills during my post-undergrad work with youth in residential care in Memphis, TN. Since entering the MA/AC program I have completed psychoeducational evaluations, conducted individual counseling, created behavior intervention plans, and partnered with a local nonprofit to develop community and teacher multicultural competence materials. I am excited about my next step, obtaining a School Psychology internship for the 2025-2026 school year.
