During my time as a professional athlete I utilised the free time I had at home during rest periods, and trained in nail technology, which is something I had a passion for from a very young age. I began by fitting friends and family appointments in around my training and race schedule, then eventually transitioning to full time after my cycling injury. I have a loyal and returning client base which has taken me from working from home, to being a senior member of staff at a luxury salon in a bustling town centre. I completed my Level 3 Award in Education and Training in lockdown 2020, which has granted me Educator status.

Another year as a professional cyclist, racing internationally at the highest level. Unfortunately in a World Tour race in China I suffered a broken shoulder, collar bone and injured the ligaments which put me out of racing while I had 2 operations to sort out the problems. Unfortunately I didn't manage to secure another contract with a professional team, but continued on training for an elite team.

Year 1 with Wiggle High 5 saw me kick of my full time professional career in Australia where I rode the Santos Womens Tour and the Cadel Evans road race and criterium. I produced a top 5 finish in the last stage of the Womens tour and won the sprints jersey competition in the Criterium.After Australia saw the classics season, which saw Wiggle High5 take multiple podiums and victories along the way. I rode my first Womens World tour for the team at Ronde van Drenthe, closely followed by another World Tour appearance at The Tour of Chongming Island where we secured the overall victory and stage wins. After taking a top 20 at UCI race Ijsseldelta for me, I had some time at home, which included me taking a win at the National Road Race series at the Essex Giro.My final World Tour of the season was Prudential Ride London, an amazing even to be part of, on home ground with huge crowds lining the Mall!It's be great to ride in the Wiggle High5 colours this season, representing all over the world, and being part of the growth of women's cycling. Also it's been great to have had some time to attend events this year for Leicestershire and Rutland sport who supported me through my years at school while striving to be a professional athlete, and continue to support grass roots level sport and help young people fulfil their dreams of making sport their profession.

CyclistAfter a successful junior career I have completed my first year riding for a UCI team. I competed in 3 women's world tour events. Tour of Flanders, Women's tour and Prudential Ride London, representing Great Britain on two occasions this season, the Women's tour (of Britain) and the European road race championships).My programme was a mixture of international and domestic races. I competed in all of the Matrix Fitness Tour series which were broadcast on TV and secured the overall win of the series along with the team victory too. Throughout my journey I have been supported by Leicestershire and Rutland Sport, where I have attended many events, TV and radio interviews and also helped out many young aspiring athletes in grass roots level activities.
