I was working as a Home Health Aide from Oct 2023-March 2024, then stepped down from full time status to complete OTA education requirements. I resumed part time in May and continued until July, taking a few patients a week until I passed the NBCOT exam and started full time with Centrex.

I This was my last fieldwork site for my OTA education (March 11-May 3, 2024). I worked in the activities dept under the supervision of a COTA who is the therapeutic rec director. I got to be alongside the residents for the daily activities and provide 1:1 assistance as needed.

I was at this facility as an OTA student on an internship. I got experience not only for my future career as a COTA, but I worked with people with varying conditions and saw a lot of variety. I got experience working in both rehab and the LTC setting, as well as observing home health sessions. I also collaborated with the nursing staff and CNA's on a regular basis,

One of my fieldwork positions for OTA education was here. I got the opportunity to work alongside the residents daily, assisting with various activities and engaging residents in conversation. I had the opportunity to lead 6 group activities while I was there, which challenged my multitasking skills but was really good to do.
