With Capstone Publishers, my responsibilities were diverse. I was a social media manager for several accounts in the United States and the United Kingdom. I created newsletters for both countries. I worked closely with the publicist for Capstone's imprint in the UK, Curious Fox, to create and maintain great relationships with booksellers, reviewers and bloggers. I worked on the website for Curious Fox. To do my job successfully, I have to keep good contact with colleagues both in the UK and the US. Having so much responsibility and communicating effectively across continents vastly improved my organizational and communication skills.

As a Video Journalist for the international marketing department at Oxford Brookes University, I planned, filmed and edited short videos to encourage students from around the world to enroll on various courses at Brookes. My videos were varied - from interviews to creative montages. I worked to tight deadlines to produce videos for particular occasions. I learned about different cultures as I created videos targeted towards different markets, such as China and America. As part of a brilliant and motivated marketing team, I got the chance to learn important aspects of marketing and working successfully with different people on projects. My time at Oxford Brookes was invaluable to my future career in marketing.
