Program helps address southeast Ohio’s food insecurity challenges by providing locally grown produce to organizations to hand off to those in need. • Work study program collecting local produce for Appalachia to have healthy food accessibility • Managed and maintained local community gardens- instituted irrigation and fertilization protocols • Responsible for purchasing seasonal produce, attend auctions and collection of local donations • Oversaw distribution of all donated and purchased food to our food access partners who serve individuals facing food insecurity. • Negotiated with local growers for donations.
