• Developing and strengthening supply chain systems, risk management, budget and cost control, with comprehensive experience on all sections of International and local Procurement, Logistics, warehousing, administration and diverse team management.• Overseeing internal control processes and appropriate use of resources ensuring that ActionAgainst Hunger-USA’s country offices are working in accordance with internal logisticsprocedures as well as all donor rules and policies.• Participating in the design of the Action Against Hunger-USA logistics strategy and theachievement of its objectives whilst identifying, adapting and implementing best practices inthe areas of logistics management.• Contributing to the recruitment, selection, placement and orientation of logistics professionalsat country level by providing a technical support.• Representing Action Against Hunger-USA Logistics in relevant platforms and contributes to the overall visibility of the Logistics department.

• Logistics Manager for Eastern Africa Region.• Manage Integration Agreements including ensuring efficient and cost effective delivery of quality services.• Coordinate the support functions - Finance, HR, Administration, Logistics and IT to provide a comprehensive and effective service, meeting the needs of the EA regional delegation's operations. • Effectively and efficiently support the Regional Programme team in delivering support to Operating National Societies (ONSs) and Partner National Societies (PNSs) in the region.• Contribute to ensuring effective coordination between the Regional Programme and Support service teams. • Ensure a review of existing operating procedures of all Support Service departments.• Recommend and establish operating procedures of all Support Service departments.• Be responsible for ensuring that strategies and priorities for services are articulated, and that resources are efficiently allocated, further developed and maximized.

1. Ensure IFRC procedures and systems are correctly implemented with regards to supply-chain management, procurement, and warehousing, fleet management and asset inventory management. 2. In charge of the logistics function and Procurement, fleet and Warehouse including staff within the unit in the Eastern Africa Regional office.3. Advice and assist in the procurement of goods and services on behalf of country delegations, ONS's and PNS's in the RDN area (s) of operation following Federation standard practises and keeping documentation to full audit trail standards and provide advice/negotiate contracts required by the delegation for goods and services.3. Plan and organise the subsequent forwarding of any locally, regionally or internationally procured/donated/received/mobilised material and equipment by sea/land/air as required after due consultation and liaison.4. Co-ordinate and manage the supply and logistics support for the Eastern Africa delegation operations, including requisitioning, receiving, storing and planning of dispatch and transport in the region..5. Provide supervision and direction of the Federations procurement systems.7. Co-ordinate logistics functions with the National Societies, integrating operations as far as possible, with the goal of transferring operational responsibility to the National Societies.
