Coordinated two (USG-funded) natural resource management projects which provided technical skills training and employment to Jordanian Bedouin women. Projects focused on reforestation in arid and semi-arid landscapes, native plants and traditional Bedouin medicine, capacity building, and cultural preservation. Also provided short-term opportunities to Syrian refugee women.

This position entailed coordinating grant-writing for development projects in the rural areas of Jordan, networking and liaising with local and international organizations, designing communications materials for tourism sites and development projects, facilitating programs for visiting researchers, and occasionally teaching English courses for Jordanian young adults.

Provided services and support to survivors of torture living in the United States, particulary through researching housing and job opportunities, English tutoring, and managing the complimentary therapies program.

Assisted refugee families in job searches, school enrollments, medical appointments, housing setup, and other life skills. Taught and tutored English classes, and created a language support packet for Arabic speakers.
