I was a solo librarian in the Daughters of Charity. The Service provides electronic resources for the staff. I helped with literature searches and was on a committee called "Information Transformation" which aims to make information accessible to people with intellectual disability.

I registered new members onto the pension scheme and wrote to them and also to staff who have left. I verified the service of former staff (i.e. confirmed when they worked in the Service). I did estimates of pension entitlements.

As a temporary, part-time library assistant the main purpose of the role was to provide support at the busy issue desks by issuing and discharging books and assisting students and lecturers with basic queries. I also did a lot of shelving and book covering and project work.

I greeted visitors and answered the phone, assisted the Director and staff with admin work, took minutes and proofread documents.
