In this position I worked with the Department of Adult Education to provide students with the resources they need to learn and succeed with online classes in the era of coronavirus. I gathered resources for digital literacy, career readiness, life skills, ESL, and more. I also worked to consolidate and design these lists and distribute them to beneficiaries.

In this role, I canvassed Pennsylvania's 53rd house district in an effort to persuade voters and get out the vote to re-elect Rep. Steve Malagari to the PA General Assembly. We ended with a victory with the greatest number of votes received by any candidate in the district and successfully turned out the vote for the Biden/Harris ticket as well, helping PA turn blue and the presidency flip to Democratic control.

While studying abroad in Athens, Greece for the spring 2020 semester, I held an internship at Za'atar NGO and worked as an English teacher and general volunteer. In my teaching role, I held class three times a week and taught a class of about 10 refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants living in Athens at the B2, or intermediate level. Additionally, I worked in an administrative role and helped beneficiaries sign up for classes, set up appointments with the lawyer and psychiatrist on site, and find other resources, speaking in both French and English to accomplish this. Although my position was cut short by the coronavirus pandemic, I was able to achieve much during my time, including improved French and Greek language skills, success as an English teacher, and a greater understanding of Greek and European Union laws as they relate to this vulnerable population.

I worked as a summer intern at State Representative Steve Malagari's office. While in this role I completed legislative research, administrative work, and gained a greater understanding of both local and state politics and legislative processes from a firsthand point of view.
