I am currently a junior at MSU Denver, studying Biochemistry and Criminalistics. Over the past year, I have learned valuable laboratory skills such as UV-vis spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and mass Spectroscopy in my chemistry courses and am excited about being able to put these analytical skills to use in the future. Through various positions as a phlebotomist and research assistant, I have gained valuable skills in laboratory processing, recruiting patients, data entry/analysis, and collaborating with doctors. My current day to day work requires professional communication with providers, technicians, research faculty, and supervisors of the CU biorepository. I am proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, Word and Access and use Epic Systems and REDCap data management on a daily basis. I also have experience using Orchard LIS and Jamovi (an SAS/SPSS copycat). My colleagues have described me as hard-working, team-oriented, and driven. I have a passion for helping people and aim to do this in my future career.
