CurrentHarvest107 prevents hunger and malnutrition through sustainable agriculture. I founded Harvest107 when I was just 12 years old. I read a book about how a failing family farm was revived after a teacher taught the children of the community about sustainability. This led me to do more research about hunger, malnutrition, poverty, and how a farming family could be hungry. I read about the 815 million people who suffer from hunger and knew I had to do something about it. I started by working with a school in Franklin, TN that reserves 50% of their seats for low-income families. This garden still feeds 24 families on a regular basis. Now, we are working in Haiti planting urban gardens and working with female farmers to provide food for themselves. We are growing into additional countries in the near future.
