The Harm Reduction Expansion Project (HREP), held within the Office of Associate Vice Chancellor & Dean of Students, aims to promote Berkeley's goal of minimizing the negative consequences correlated with substance use via outreach, supply distribution, and accessible education in accordance with SB 367. - Administer large-scale surveys to support grant writing and identify student needs- Deliver educational presentations about the dangers of fentanyl contamination, reduction strategies, recovery counseling - Train individuals and student groups on how to use fentanyl test strips for overdose prevention, properly administering Naloxone, and how to appropriately respond to an active overdose scenario involving alcohol, opiates, or amphetamines- Maintain regular communication with campus administrators to inform them of any relevant shifts in student attitudes, perspectives, and behaviors surrounding HREP's goals

- Oversee all aspects of membership status changes within the sorority, including self-suspension, temporary withdrawl, early alumni, and expulsion- Conduct investigations into alleged conduct violations; lead and advise Standards Committee on recommendations for appropriate sanctions - Provide support and guidance to chapter officers and members regarding standards and conduct expectations, and referrals to community resources to support their growth - Maintain accurate records of conduct violations and membership status changes

As a resident health worker, I was elected to promote & manage the well-being of a diverse group of students through peer to peer education, preventative care, and outside referrals. - Manage the health cabinet and the distribution of first aid, sexual health, & harm reduction supplies for 40 residents- Assess student needs and fulfill any requests in a timely manner- Propose a semesterly budget for all health related items to my supervising office at the Berkeley Student Cooperative (BSC) - Publish monthly health newsletters for distribution in the public spaces of the house- Deliver quarterly health related workshops & events

BUILD is one of the largest reading initiatives in the East Bay, with hundreds of UC Berkeley student mentors providing one-on-one literacy support to 850 youth at 20 locations in Oakland and Berkeley. As a BUILD mentor, I worked at Sylvia Mendez Elementary school with two ESL students, twice a week for 30-35 minute sessions after school to help build a foundation for their reading comprehension skills.

RAICES is a part of the larger bridges coalition, which oversees recruitment and retention for identity groups that have been historically discriminated against. As a RAICES intern, I sat on the Political Awareness and Community Development (PACD) committee. - Coordinate large community events & initiatives for an undergraduate Latine population of 5,000 students- Develop relevant programming for Latine K-12 & higher education students- Delegate scholarship awards - Collaborate as an aid for other RAICES committees on their own initiatives spanning the subjects of health and wellness, transfer students, K-12 recruitment, etc.

The San Lorenzo Unified School District (SLzUSD) oversees 16 public schools, K-12. As the sole student board member, I was extended maximum powers as defined by CA state law in order to represent all student voices by consistently centering student learning, academic excellence, and equitable educational opportunities.- Served on the Fiscal Revenue Enhancement Committee, advocating for student interests in matters related to financial resources and funding allocation- Served on the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Committee, collaborating with administrators, union representatives, and other stakeholders to reach mutually beneficial solutions regarding educational policy and practice concerns- Headed the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, facilitating regular meetings and discussions among students to provide diverse feedback directly to the superintendent and administrative team- Analyzed data & existing literature, surveyed student population, and drew upon my understanding of best practices to inform evidence-based decision-making- Exercised critical judgment when utilizing my preferential vote to make decisions on all public action items

I was selected to attend both the ACLU's National Advocacy Institute & the ACLU's California Advocacy Institute. Through these programs, I was able to connect with other educational equity teen advocates in the Bay Area. Ultimately, we independently organized and led multiple successful voter pre-registration drives inspired by the Rock The Vote campaign at various underserved high schools in the region.- Logistics coordination of 9 voter pre-registration events at Bay Area high schools, including initial outreach, venue selection, resourcing necessary technology, volunteer recruitment, and event promotion- Developed strategic partnerships with student organizations at each campus to maximize our impact and reach - Collaborated with civics & government teachers to engage and educate students about the importance of voter registration and civic participation- Achieved measurable outcomes by facilitating the pre-registration of over 600 eligible low-income, first generation, and/or historically underrepresented high school seniors

Earth Team programs empower urban youth to become lifelong environmental stewards. Earth Team's leadership opportunities promote pathways to college and environmental science and technology careers. - Implemented several action projects, such as ecology restoration, in partnership with the East Bay Regional Parks district- Fostered partnerships with industry professionals and engaged with the local community to raise awareness about ecological conservation and the importance of sustainable practices

The FFAC inspires and empowers individuals and institutions to create a more just, compassionate, and sustainable food system. FFAC builds both an inclusive consumer base as well as an informed citizenry that support cultural and legislative change. - Translated bilingual presentations to educate and empower youth and professional organizations on factory farming- Canvassed local businesses and community members to pass the Green Monday campaign in cities like Emeryville and San Francisco- Effectively communicated environmental and public health concerns related to factory farming
