Responsible for providing data management and analysis, performance measurement and cost estimating to the drilling team during a period of rapid growth.• Administered the Wellview reporting system at Group level including delivery of two major upgrades, data migration / re-mapping and training provision for onshore and offshore staff.• Benchmarked company performance against peer groups in different operating scenarios and demonstrated the value of comparing performance and setting targets to support the budget process.• Streamlined the well cost estimating process for licence acquisition proposals and mid-term planning exercises. Used historical data to develop a deterministic model for detailed AFE preparation resulting in a significant time saving for planning engineers.• Merged and re-structured a lessons learned system which was previously fragmented across the three regions into a single manageable database.• Completed the smooth handover of drilling files and software applications to Premier Oil PLC during a tight integration period.

Key role working on high profile North Sea investment projects (Rita, Babbage and Tolmount) during the planning, execution and wrap-up phases.• Contributed to the planning of the wells to be drilled including regulatory well proposals to government agencies, drilling programmes and detailed cost estimates.• Provided offshore support including pre-phase planning, engineering calculations, daily report documentation and co-ordination of post phase lessons learned reviews.• Completed End of Well Reports in a timely manner.

On acquisition of Caledonia by E.ON my role was expanded to not only include my responsibilities within the drilling team but to multi-function as:-• Hydrocarbon accountant for eleven E.ON UK producing fields. This involved the reconciliation of production data, allocation of gas production for operated multi-well assets, downtime measurement and provision of monthly production data to government and industry agencies.• Contributor in the implementation of the Pi database for the Hunter / Caister assets.• Focal point and Opcom Representative for the Schooner field until the asset was sold in 2008.

Caledonia were a new oil and gas E&P company with about 30 employees about to embark on a drilling campaign for the first time. Caledonia was acquired by E.ON Ruhrgas in November 2005.• Project managed and implemented a drilling operations reporting system (Wellview) in order to capture all the data from Caledonia’s first ever drilling operations. The project included configuration of code sets, daily and performance report formats, and coaching of onshore and offshore staff on time saving data entry techniques.• Initiated company participation in the industry leading Rushmore Reviews which provides benchmarking solutions in the oil and gas industry.

This was a short term contract to review their Drilling Information Management System (DIMS) and recommend a data framework for future use, plus provision of training to office staff on data management and analysis techniques.

Responsible for managing DIMS in three regions (UK, Algeria & Pakistan), ensuring drilling, completion and well services data adhered to BHPB standards.• Contributed data to Exprosoft Completion Reliability Database and ran statistical data queries on downhole component reliability, particularly safety valves and electric submersible pumps (ESP’s). Used the data to plan future work schedules and budgets.• Responsible for delivering Final Well Reports and handover documentation of BHPB Algerian wells to Agip / Sonatrach, based in Hassi Massaoud, Algeria.• Took an active role developing the parameters for Rushmore Reviews by recommending improvements to the data-set at the annual participant meetings. Benchmarked BHPB performance against peer groups, maintaining performance statistics for all completion, workover and well service operations. Devised KPI’s in order for the management team to meet their performance objectives.

Key responsibility was to manage the drilling budget from scheduling and initial budgeting work through to stewardship of actual expenditures for 20+ rig strings. This role also included well surveillance, and the development / maintenance of a well database which reported drilling performance, non-productive time elements and costs.

Produced time and depth based geological maps of the North Sea using available data from seismic surveys and well logs. Calculated structural and reservoir volumes of fields and prospects, and also maintained a scout database reporting on competitor activities and well results.
