GRS Signs & Graphics formed on the 1st of August 1991, operating as a Mobile Sign Production Service from an LDV 400. The LDV was fully equipped with a 240v Consumer Unit, 286 PC, 610mm Vinyl Plotter & Comprehensive Stock of Vinyl's. The production unit was carpeted (it also doubled as my office) and equipped with dexion speed framing and counter tops.Most of my early days would start with cold calling an industrial estate. (old fashioned door knocking) Once an order was generated the LDV would be plugged into the customers power supply via a 50’ extension lead to design and produce the graphics, be it for general signage or vehicle branding.I quickly realised that most companies were having to take their vehicles to a Sign Company for branding as not many were fitting onsite, as any fleet operator will know, this is a huge inconvenience. This quickly became one of our USP’s.
