A change leader and strategic planner in the merger of the RN, Army and RAF logistics into the 35,000 strong Defence Logistic Organisation. Improved end-to-end delivery and reduced costs, including industrial support. Implemented Whole Life Support, the Support Solutions Envelope and new operational analysis and decision making tool (LOGWAR).

Responsible for support planning and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) for future Army/Land weapons, vehicles and equipment. Worked closely with Sponsors/Users to ensure all support plans and related funding in place. Managed embedded ILS/support teams within Defence Procurement Agency. A key change agent for Smart Procurement/Smart Acquisition.

Responsible for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) (bomb disposal) throughout UK and UK interests worldwide. Provided ammunition technical support to the British Army at home and abroad.

Member of the Directing Staff at the Royal MIlitary College of Science, Shrivenham, responsible for tutoring/mentoring the Army Staff Course and other courses in a range of technical and management subjects. Responsible for course design and delivery, and development of teaching material and learning exercises.

Previous service with the British Army and MOD includes operational, leadership and management roles in UK, Northern Ireland, Germany and Bosnia/Croatia. Responsibilities included Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), logistics operations and planning, acquisition management and supply chain management.
