I am a photographer interested in constructed environments and place making practices. At university I studied Psychology/Sociology, my first job was as a Psychology Research Assistant in an Offender Profiling Research Unit, looking at relationships between environments and behaviour. While doing my MA in Social Work, and working as a Probation Officer, I became interested in photography through friends and later used it as another way of exploring and understanding the places we live in. I completed an FdA contemporary photography in June 2009. I have shown work in a number of exhibitions across the UK and internationally, I hand make and self publish books of my work, which have also been exhibited. My work has been covered in a number of on-line reviews, blogs and magazines.I have a participatory arts practice and am commissioned to use the tools of photography to work with communities, exploring the places that they live in, helping people to find a new relationship with the physical space that surrounds them.
