I am currently working as a Senior Software Engineer, designing and building new features into our Java CRM product, currently focusing on Upgrading and Localisation. As the product covers a variety of areas, I have a wealth of experience in a number of technologies and methodologies, including Enterprise Java beans, JEE, Spring MVC, JAX-RS, and a variety of web technologies including but not limited too AJAX, HTML, HTML5, jQuery, jQuery UI, JSON, CSS. I had significant input into the design and implementation of a recent new feature which allows 3rd party web products to integrate with the software such as Google Maps that works seamlessly with existing built in components. This included writing serialization functionality to allow our own bespoke data structures to work with 3rd party products by way of using the JSON specification.The development process is heavily based on Agile Methodologies, we work in 3 week sprints, utilising TDD & BDD. As such I have a lot of experience working closely with other developers of varying abilities, and writing unit/acceptance tests using a number of frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, Springockito and Cucumber.Due to my experience and knowledge, I am one of a number of developers who are asked to mentor a number of the newer, less experienced developers, due to the complexity of certain areas of the product. I am also one of a small number of senior engineers who are often called upon to resolve serious and complex issues with our product for customers, working to very tight deadlines, and in high pressure situations.I also enjoy attending the monthly social events at work, which includes various levels of staff from the Engineering team and also playing Badminton with a number of my colleagues. I have also won internal awards a number of times for integrity, passion and innovation within the Engineer team, nominated by my peers.

Developed a number of online retailer sites for a number of clients written in ASP, with JavaScript & CSS which we hosted on behalf of our customers. Also helped develop an online video communication solution, allowing people to contact a sales person directly from their website.

I worked in the Desktop and Networks team and a large part of my placement involved working on a Microsoft Exchange Project, organising information to be used in the migration of users and also the rollout of Microsoft Outlook to the users machines.My other duties included NT Account / Email Administration, desktop support, ranging from PC rebuilds to user problems, such as password resets, application installs and general user support.
