As a Senior Roster Officer on the Humanitarian Response Program, I identified and recruited international humanitarian relief experts for deployment with United Nations (UN) and other partner organizations responding to international emergencies. In doing so, I strengthened CANADEM’s network of humanitarian professionals while increasing the roster of experts by 20%. As Deputy Director of Communications, I provided managerial and operational support for the planning and implementation of Canada’s independent election observation mission to Ukraine’s 2012 parliamentary elections which hosted 860 people and had an overall budget of $9M. In my current role as a program facilitator with Power To Be, I am an integral member of the team dedicated to empowering people living with a disability or barrier to explore their limitless abilities through inclusive adventures rooted in nature-based programs.
