The Moran laboratory is principally concerned with the elucidation of enzyme chemical mechanisms. We have tended to work with systems that are associated with human diseases and/or agriculture but also study unique enzymatic reaction chemistry as basic science. My laboratory’s primary research approach is systematic transient-state kinetic observations using rapid mixing methods that include stopped-flow spectrophotometry, and rapid chemical quench methodologies.
