I, Graham North, run and own a service/business that offers naturally made features for mainly outdoor use. Gardens and outdoor spaces are perfect for these features/ space solutions. Features such as a rustic pergoda, chestnut pergolas, willow and hazel fences, flint work,sensory planting schemes, tree planting, ash gates, living willow structures, fire pits, attractive seating areas, woven tree seats, cob earth pizza oven, traditional bee skeps, and more. I have recently, undertaken a naturally based sensory garden design for a local university, for people with learning difficulties. In regards to creative craft work, I worked with Ely Cathedral and was asked to make a woven willow throne for the Queens 60th coronation celebration. For a forest school in norfolk I made a earth pizza oven to help bring a happy and quality food experience to the outdoor learning environment. I am currently creating an outdoor class room or 'Green Room' for a Primary school in Norfolk. The children are helping and many classes have come out to take part in real tasks, most are craft/ traditional outdoor skills. They are now beginning to ownership of their outdoor space whilst learning skills and having fun. The Green Room is on-going. The website is to return soon

In this excellent role, I worked with many dozens of communities in rural england. I worked in the South east region (Cambridge) then after promotion, the South West (Bristol). We helped them to work together, to identify issues, facilitate communications, to progress ideas, to formulate village plans and to help them with funding, using a sizable budget. We offered payments to communities who could show need and well made plans, gaining maximum feedback from the area. The projects covered social and environmental issues, from electric buses in devon, to farm diversification, farmers markets, millenium greens, post office and pub diversification, local food projects. Great role at Defra.
