Responsible for investigating and resolving all complaints registered with respect to Town by-laws and other legislation enforced by the division (Zoning By-laws, Property Standards By-law, Licensing By-laws, Weed Control Act of Ontario, Garbage and Debris By-law, etc.). Responsibilities will include carrying out thorough investigations which will include inspections, completing of notes, issuing of notices, orders and other correspondence, attending court and giving evidence, attending and giving evidence in Property Standards appeals, Licensing hearings and other duties as assigned which may include bike patrol of Town parks and facilities.

Responsible for the facilitation of parking hearings for tickets issued by the Parking Control Staff. Duties included preparing notice of intention to appear in court; assisting with reports related to Parking Control facilitation; maintaining parking officer's stats; assisting and providing support to the Supervisor, Parking Control Enforcement which will include the completion of prosecution files, parking sign inspections and assisting with other parking control issueswhen required.

As the Manager of Access Richmond Hill was responsible for managing the daily operations of Access Richmond Hill, the Town's one-window contact centre; setting and meeting performance targets for speed, efficiency, and quality; planning and managing change; liaising with the contact centre coordinator, Town-wide department supervisors, team leaders and third parties to gather information and resolve issues; maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and involvement in networks; monitoring random calls to improve quality, minimize errors and track operative performance; planning and developing staff recruitment; reviewing the performance of staff, identifying training needs and planning training sessions; recording statistics, user rates and the performance levels of the centre and preparing reports; handling complex customer complaints or enquiries; organizing staffing, including the number of staff required to meet demand; coaching, motivating and retaining; forecasting and monitoring divisional budget; developing, implementing and reviewing core responsibilities and tasks; analyzing performance statistics and making decisions on the basis of these statistics; improving performance by raising efficiency and sourcing new equipment to enable this.
