As a team we carry out year-end compliance for companies of all sizes from small OMBs and partnerships to multi-million pound turnover groups. Our major clients are the external audit teams for clients of Smith and Williamson, with us working in close conjunction with them, to provide financial statements that can be audited. These need to be produced in a timely fashion and demand a level of accuracy with regard to compliance with FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRS. Destinations were worldwide except for North America and Australasia. Managing a UK based team that was responsible for the overall operation of the small group fixed departure programme worldwide. Involved health and safety and risk management, training of overseas leaders, liaison with the product department to ensure viability of product.Multi-cultural/lingual communications and sensitivity to the needs of overseas partners was key to maintaining excellent relationships to deliver the best possible product to customers.Previously worked in the Product department designing product that was both viable and cost effective. Margin control through effective cost control and pricing.

Designing and pricing tailor-made itineraries to numerous tropical and subtropical destinations specialising in Nepal, Morocco and Latin America. The role was client-facing with an emphasis on excellent and personalised customer service. It also involved close liaison with overseas suppliers and flight consolidators.The product was mainly culture and wildlife based.

IT business consultancy.The role involved studying the as-is processes, creating a to-be process within the constraints of the technology at hand, customising the software and finally implementation of the software with associated training of the end users. Was involved in two major projects implementing e-procurement systems for the National Assembly for Wales and the Police Information Technology Organisation.

Leading groups in Southern Peru and Northern Bolivia on 2 to 3 week touring trips. Responsible for the overall cost management of the tour, liaising with local service providers (hotels, transport companies, tour operators) in Spanish to ensure smooth running of trip. Customer service was key to the role as the aim was to provide each client with an unforgettable experience of the Andes and of GAP adventures.
