I am an Adminstrative Services Manager who oversees Transit, IT, Warehouse, Purchasing and Public Administration. I am also responsible for the City's Emergency Preparedness Program which includes, incident response, Public Notification System & CERT training, Fed/State grant reporting, Emergency Operations Center management, public outreach and education. Other projects include rebranding/marketing of the City's transit system, land purchase agreements, municipal code amendments, strategic planning and leadership training and more.

Served on the Executive Board as its Communications Director and Channel Islands Region Chair. Was responsible for re-branding the MMASC look and outreach materials, website and professional correspondence. All events were succesful and sold out. It was a great experience led by an inspirational leader and Board President.

Region and state representative to the National Recycling Coalition. Advocated open discussion and sharing of resources with publicand private sector, including legislation changes at the state and federal level

I was originally hired by the City to implement its recycling, trash and hazardous waste program. The program grew into an award winning model program that excelled at all levels and was broadened into other environmental programs and policies. Over the years, I implemented an electric vehicle program wrote and managed several million dollars in city grants in numerous fields and implemented many high profile and successful projects.

I was first hired to manage a federally funded employment training and placement program for the City. After exceeding program goals, I was promoted to manage both the Youth Council Program and Neigborhood Council Program. I served as the City's liasion to the general public and private sector on a wide variety of issues that required interfacing with the City Manager, City Council and all City Departments. The program included five adult boards and one youth advisory board that each met once per month. I served as a parliamentarian for all the board meetings, prepared the agendas, minutes, reports and learned alot about how local government operates.
