Bardahl Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1939 and ever since has produced innovative, high quality products for the automobile industry including lubricants, oils and additives. Bardahl products are sold worldwide in over 90 countries on 6 continents and are packaged in 16 languages. A vast network of manufacturing and packaging facilities has been established by Bardahl to support its worldwide distribution. Bardahl is a family owned and operated company that manages its worldwide business from its headquarters in Seattle, Washington with products proudly made in the USA.Working for a company with a small corporate headquarters such as Bardahl has provided me with great insight into the end-to-end business operations of an organization. This environment has given me great perspective into how my performance and tasks relate to the business as a whole. One of my primary roles at Bardahl involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure on time and in full order fulfillment to retailers, distributors, and end consumers throughout the US and Canada. I also conduct sales analysis at both the manufacturer and retail level to track ongoing performance as well as analyze marketing and promotional initiatives to help make data-driven decisions regarding the overall benefit and viability of future promotions. Inventory management is another focus for me at Bardahl. I forecast, plan, and coordinate replenishment shipments to two 3rd party warehouses who handle order fulfillment for some of Bardahl's largest retail accounts. Since taking over inventory management for these warehouses, we have moved to a near just in time delivery for replenishment that substantially shortened the operating cycle for these accounts, resulting in cash flow improvements.

I began working at U.S. bank in Seattle's Magnolia neighborhood branch as a teller. Given the start of my employment at U.S. Bank was in a customer-facing position shortly after the great financial crisis of 2007, I consider myself fortunate to have worked for a financial institution whose core values consisted of superior customer service and conservative/responsible lending. While working as a teller, I was awarded and recognized three times as a top district teller and once as a top regional teller. The metrics used in determining these awards were a combination of sales, customer services scores, and accuracy/cash balancing. I greatly enjoyed getting to know our regular customers and learning to understand their banking needs. Perhaps the biggest highlight of my time at US Bank was taking ownership of the branch's cash supply. This was my first encounter with inventory management, forecasting, and supply and demand planning. Managing the vault may have been what ultimately sparked my passion and pursuit of the field of supply chain management. While in this role, I was able to reduce the bank's average cash on hand by over 35% while maintaining a sufficient supply to meet customer demand. This resulted in improvements in cash flow and risk mitigation to the branch, without sacrificing customer service. I later pursued my interest in cash inventory management to transfer to a position as a Commercial Vault Associate at U.S Bank's Seattle Cash Services Vault Facility, where I learned a great deal about process flow, facility design, and continuous improvement in a high-volume, production focused environment.
