Graham leads Hayball’s Brisbane studio and national tertiary sector. He is presently briefing, designing and advising tertiary, school, and community projects inclusive of client-side roles. He is a passionate advocate of social infrastructure and involved in future city-shaping projects. His experience, stakeholder engagement, leadership and holistic sustainable design assists project success. Graham has led multiple award-winning tertiary commissions across three states with recognition in learning environment planning, architecture, and sustainability.His approach is underpinned by listening, constructively challenging convention and understanding his clients. Most recently, Graham led the team designing the ACU STEM Centre of Educational Excellence which helped secure $45M funding, the UniSQ Advanced Engineering Building, BBC Master Plan Campus Vision, a new P-12 St Francis Catholic College in Toowoomba and new school in the Redlands for The Industry School. He is providing pro-bono support to Legacy House, a transformational social infrastructure project and conceiving city-shaping projects for Brisbane.Graham is regularly invited to lead strategic briefing roles on major projects such as the UQ Union Complex and ACU BCC Warrick Lane Campus. He assists executive clients, directorates and communities with commissions ranging from campus visions to re-lifing projects, community projects and new builds. Previous experience includes: ACU Mercy Building, CSU Engineering Precinct, Deakin Central Plaza, Deakin Cube and Griffith University Library.Graham is a reputable leader and mentor, maintaining an active voice in the industry driven by culture, context, and social responsibility. As a contributor to media, conferences, seminars, and forums, he has delivered keynotes at prestigious conferences and institutions, most notably at the Nobel Forum of Future Learning Environments, Sweden and more recently was a workshop panelist at the Asia Pacific Architecture Festival in Brisbane. He is a member of the QLD PCA Social Infrastructure Committee, former advisory Member of Brisbane Boys' College Council and speaker for the Macquarie workshop series entitled ‘Sustainable Schools in a Complex World’. He recently supported the QIS BGA Master Planning workshop series.'Graham has been selected as a Design Juror for the 2024 Learning Environments Australasia Qld Chapter Awards, a role he has undertaken twice previously.
