FTTH (fibre to the home) offers a sustainable solution to counter many of the infrastructure, economic development, social cohesion and community development issues in rural communities. The incumbent telcos seem uninterested in offering a service, so we will build our own networks.

Marsden and Slaithwaite Renaissance Market Towns Programme is a local group aiming to deliver sustainable community based economic development to the Colne Valley in Pennine West Yorkshire. My particular interest is to create a community owned FTTH business providing ultra high speed connectivity throughout the local area, enabling it to retain and attract.
