I supported the financial systems used by the consulting operating group at Aon. These systems included PeopleSoft Projects, Billing, and AR as well as Actuate Reports from our data-mart. I also supported the revenue forecasting application.Support activities ranged from the day-to-day such as security maintenance, investigation and troubleshooting of system and end-user errors, and user acceptance testing enhancements and fixes from our support team. I also managed the automated load of conversion data from acquisitions and strategic re-alignments.

I managed three major system deployments at various clients over my tenure including application configuration and integration with other systems. My first project was designing and implementing Cognos Planning for use as a budgeting and forecasting tool at a global insurance company. I also built a model to calculate the cost of employee benefits from HR data. Following this successful implantation, I spearheaded the standardization and globalization of budgeting and forecasting at this company and re-implemented a global version of the application. My final project was development lead on the implementation of a zero-based budgeting system at a leading global brewer. I also developed a federal financials reporting suite in Oracle BI as a re-usable asset for use in proposals for BI clients. I also worked on tracking and analyzing the realized benefits from Accenture’s' internal initiatives.

I analyzed on pace maker leads and how their shape affects their ability to stay fixed in the heart during a summer internship at Guidant (now Boston Scientific). I created a bench test to replicate the conditions that these components experience while implanted in the human body to evaluate current and future designs of leads at lower costs. I used six sigma methodologies to validate testing methods and results. I also developed and validated accelerated testing protocol for evaluating the wear on pacemaker leads to further reduce testing costs.

During a co-op at Sub-Zero, I contributed to the redesign of product line by reducing assembly costs and improving quality. I did this by standardizing designs and materials used in for common features. I also contributed to sourcing cheaper materials and identifying areas for improved performance over the previous generation of products.
