I am a senior at George Mason University working on a Bachelor's in Business - Marketing graduating in May 2024. Due to the current job market, and my flexible personality, I have a varied portfolio ranging from the food service to the customer service industry. But, even with my experience performing odd jobs, they all correlate around three similarities that demonstrate my personality the best. Personal drive and strong character, clear and effective communication, and improvised creative expression.My drive is one of the most important parts of what defines who I am. I've never been one to pick up on technologies or concepts, but I am great at pushing myself to learn and adapt in order to grow as a person. This has led me to develop a strong internal drive that pushes me to see things through to completion, no matter how hard or tiring it may be. Long hours, pushing 12 - 14 hour days back-to-back while lifeguarding. Balancing several other peoples' jobs, ending up running the entire back-of-house during a hiring lull while only being hired on for dishwashing duties. Though not ideal circumstances, it has shown me just how important my drive is while doing my job, which was predominantly customer service-based. When serving others, there can't be any miscommunications. Tone, context, and audience can make or break whether or not you continue to have a job in certain cases. My jobs all depended on customer service either directly or indirectly, which has given me tons of practice in dealing with people from many walks of life. Lifeguarding threw many interesting issues that you'd never think of, like how to communicate with a parent about their child creating problems for the facility. It's a delicate, yet urgent matter that I've experienced and had to coach others about, as safety is the top priority for lifeguards, which can be jeopardized by an well-intentioned parent doing the wrong thing.I am currently looking for full-time entry level positions that I can gain certifications and experience working in a professional environment where I can demonstrate my drive. I am looking for online or on-site positions within an hour of DC who need a Jack-of-all-trades
