As Depute Principal of one of Scotland's largest Colleges, my job is to ensure we deliver education and training of the highest quality in facilities that are 'state of the art'.My major project recently has been to direct the £48m refurbishment of our Gardyne Campus and to create a building ready to deliver modern IT enabled learning. After many years of planning the project is now complete and open to students in August 2011. I have also overseen the refurbishment of the Gardyne Theatre and we open for business in 2011 with visits from Ricky Ross and Scottish Opera.I also lead the Creative Loop organisation, a partnership of Colleges, Creative Scotland, the BBC, STV, Skillset, Scottish Funding Council and SQA to deliver creative talent for the modern media industries.I am a member of SQA's Advisory Committee, I have sat on the Skillset Board for Scotland, I chair a number of groups and organisations locally including the Prince's Trust Board for Tayside and the Bahratiya Ashram multi cultural organisation.
