I am a high achieving and dedicated student looking for a summer internship with an engineering firm. I am currently a student at the University of Nebraska at Omaha studying Architectural Engineering, planning to focus on either structural or acoustic systems.Over the past year I have taken many measures to involve myself with my community. I am the current treasurer of Delta Chi at Omaha, where I oversee the disbursement of dues, formulate a budget, and I am in the process of creating a high yield savings account to elevate our finances over the coming years. I have also been a member of the Nebraska Engineering Student Council at Omaha, working to unify all students within the College of Engineering and assisting in helping make it the best that it can be.In the past I have worked various jobs, which I believe have built a system of skills that I can carry into future endeavors. This past summer I worked as an Intern for the Delta Chi Education Foundation. This internship was focused on fundraising, and it helped a lot with professional communication, networking, and selling a cause. I also worked at Scheels where I was in Restock and Recovery and then as a Sales Associate. This job required me to develop my interpersonal skills, so I was able to help the customer in the best way possible. I have been both a self-employed and full-time landscaper. This work included mowing, trimming, aerating, and various landscape projects for clients. This work taught me how to work hard, give the customer a quality service, and get the job done quickly. I have also worked as a cashier at Wahoo Medicine Man. This job included ordering and restocking over the counter products, organizing medicine, and cashiering. This job taught me how to organize what I was working so I can be more efficient and how to work with customers in order to give them great service.
