I am a graduate from the University of Michigan with degrees in environmental engineering and environmental sciences, and (as you may have guessed) I am passionate about the environment. In my career, I want to help foster a more sustainable and environmentally conscious world so that posterity may enjoy the beauties of our natural environment as I have enjoyed them. In my coursework and professional experiences, I have developed an engineer's mindset with an attention to detail and a love for technical communication. Most of my experience relates to water sciences, with coursework ranging from fluid mechanics to freshwater ecology to laws and regulation. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work on a couple international projects in Guatemala and Ethiopia related to decentralized water purification and smart sensor irrigation, respectively, as well as work as an intern for Environmental Consulting and Technology with responsibilities related to stormwater, green infrastructure, and ecological restoration. Rising sea levels amidst uncertain precipitation changes. Harmful chemicals in our rivers, lakes, and groundwater. Water infrastructure around the country reaching centennial anniversaries in need of repair and replacement. I am not yet sure exactly what environmental industry I will be working in, but there are many issues to which I would be happy dedicating my career. I believe I have great experience to contribute, but I also know that I have much to learn, and I welcome the challenges ahead.
