With Invenco moving to Agile methodology became part of the product management team, with responsibilities for TMS (Terminal Management System) and later around the Payments Team and Invenco Controller (Regulus) products.Using JIRA, Backlog grooming for ongoing two week sprints.

My role at Invenco is to understand, evaluate and document the business needs and technical requirements of the customer and to design solutions utilising a mixture of Invenco, incumbent and other vendor products.

• Worked closely with clients through two major upgrade projects, from initial project workshop stages through to maintaining and troubleshooting the systems after go-live. Detailed requirement analysis then implementation using Gentrack reporting and interface tools, while maintaining a high level of communication and trust with clients.• Upgrade of Meridian’s billing/CRM system to Gentrack Velocity (Web UI, ‘GenBasic’ 4GL over an Oracle RDBMS). Team lead for Meter Reading Interface (MRI). Resolved Reporting, Letter generation, address validation, scheduling and billing validation issues. Supported customer disaster recovery following the Feb 22nd, 2011 earthquake.• Highly successful agile project for TrustPower. I was ‘stream lead’, taking ownership of the entire billing process from meter reading (MVRS interface), invoicing, validation, display and printing customer statements, though to cash handling processes (payments, discounts and cash allocation). Reverse engineered the legacy system, so that on go-live, up to 20,000 bills per day were produced without error and reduced call-center load. Seamless transition of a complex billing and CRM system occurred with minimal disruption.• Managed Gentrack component of ‘MyMeridian’ and Business Online (BOL) websites, requiring extensive liaison with third party vendors (HP, Fujitsu, Intergen, PaymentExpress and front-end web-developers). Used Trello and Hangouts to maintain an Agile project methodology with geographically dispersed parties.• As a senior system analyst, mentored new graduates, reviewing and approving/rejecting proposed solutions before presentation to customers.• Technical skills included working with a proprietary 4GL (GenBasic), debuggers, scripting systems and release management tools. SQLDeveloper and Oracle Enterprise Manager, Windows server and Linux environments.

• Worked closely with clients, employees, and contractors throughout the entire SDLC, to bring projects from prospect stage to post release processes. This involved requirement analysis, designing innovative solutions and software development processes.• Throughout the entire SDLC process, created and maintaining a full range of documentation: proposals, functional specifications, user acceptance criteria and test documents.• Responsibility for the design and direction of Codeshed internal products, including a new ‘n-dimensional’ online analysis engine written in Java/Google Web Toolkit (GWT), for automated analysis & display of data.• Took lead in talking to clients, prospects and in negotiation, quickly and fully understanding client’s business model and requirements, before designing solutions.• Some ‘hands on’ PHP/MySQL/CSS and Embarcadero (Borland) C++ Builder development, as well as maintaining and/or analyzing systems in ASP.NET, Java/GWT, Magento and AWK.

• Worked closely with programmers, testers and other stakeholders including end-users, to ensure solutions were implemented fully and correctly. Reading and writing mix of AWK/Python/C++ and Delphi code.• Technical lead in global integration project with multi-national FMCG company (P&G)• Identified inefficiencies in data production systems, and made ETL type processes more efficient, while improving quality. Formally documented in-house data processing tools including a proprietary data setup language 'ADL'.• Designed an end-to-end internet registration / CRM system, interfacing C++ applications with an ASP.NET web-service.• Expert in Infotools suite of software, Triple-S, SPSS, Surveycraft, E-Tab and other market research specific tools.

Smartmove made smart card reading units, primarily for vending machines. Was interesting technology but SmartMove were shut down in 2000 by the American owners.My role at Smartmove was lead programmer and team leader, looking after the online back-end system for e-cash collection and reporting.
