I am a senior Finance student at the University of Texas. I am from Amarillo, Texas where I grew up with three younger brothers. While I was in high school, I was really passionate about playing football and running track. I eventually decided to move off to Austin for college, but I unfortunately didn't originally get into Texas. However, I was so adamant about going to college there that I decided to go to Austin Community College for a year and then to transfer into Texas. Fortunately, my freshman year I was still able get involved with the student life on the college campus of UT which led to my involvement in greek life and in a college ministry called Student Mobilization. My freshman summer two things took place that changed my life. The first being that I got into the Liberal Arts School at Texas, and the second being that I surrendered my life to Jesus at Student Mobilization's summer project called Kaleo. Since that summer, I have progressively grown in my faith, character and leadership through my continual involvement with Student Mobilization, and I also was given the opportunity to transfer into the McCombs School of Business going into my junior year. Finally arriving at my senior year, I'm thankful for the college experience that I've had and am looking forward to what is to come.
