About Grant Iverson

I am a keenly analytical front-end developer with 6+ years of experience developing websites and 12+ years solving difficult problems, communicating complex concepts, and collaborating with other experts. I have a passion for empowering people and creating systems that get things done.I started my career as a math teacher. I faced difficult problems every day. When I saw that my school was performing below average I determined to raise the scores. I worked with teachers in my district to find curriculums and tools that would help students’ weaknesses. With the solutions I implemented, I increased students’ scores by 120% of the yearly goal over three years.I have always loved engineering, but I got started with web development because my former school’s website was nonfunctional. I learned HTML and CSS to make a new one. I also used this site to publish student work. When I transferred to my most recent school, I learned JavaScript and started a web development class. As a result, each student made a professional quality portfolio site to take with them after graduation.Realizing the power of technology to help people around the globe, I decided to apply my passion for programming, love of learning, creativity, and analytical mind as a developer full time. To accomplish this goal, I completed multiple online courses including a Udacity Nanodegree to hone my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills; I also learned about the latest tech such as React, responsive design, AJAX, CSS preprocessors, version control, testing, tooling, and frameworks.Now I work at Qgiv building software that helps non-profit organizations and their teams fulfill their dreams to make a difference all around the world! I have played a significant role in building apps such as a customizable donation form, dashboards, reports, an auction platform, and a text message campaign platform. It blows my mind that the apps I have built have helped raise millions of dollars across a wide array of sectors!
