As a Federal Transportation Security Officer at Asheville Regional Airport, I conduct security screening with a team of officers to ensure a safe experience for the flying public. Each day brings new situations and unexpected challenges, and that’s what makes the job so interesting. Beyond that, it’s a great honor to serve my country in this capacity!

As a Lead Adventure Guide, I manage risk associated with canopy tours by following safety guidelines and best practices. I also supervise and entertain tour groups to ensure compliance and client satisfaction. I was promoted to the Tier 1 Lead Adventure Guide role in 2015 after demonstrated successes in client service and performance. Wow! That sounds so formal, don't you think? In reality, I have a fantastic time taking customers through our two gorgeous tours ensuring that they have a fun, fulfilling, entertaining, and thrilling time. That said, I'd say I'm successful 100% of the time in doing that.In 2016, I performed the dual role as Lead Adventure Guide and Group Sales Representative. As the Group Sales Representative, I shared the Navitat experience amongst multiple opportunity markets to improve Navitat's market share within the group business arena. It was always so great walking into a business, sporting my Navitat jacket, and hearing the first person I saw say with excitement, "Are you with Navitat? Oh, I so want to zip line with you guys!"

As an Account Executive, I cultivated relationships with five of the world's largest multi-billion dollar travel management companies. I improved strategic partnerships with follow-up techniques and customer service. I also educated prospective and existing clients with presentations at trade shows, in-house meetings and conferences. Here, I was promoted to the more senior Account Executive role due to a proven track record of business growth and increased sales. I even earned the coveted “Team Member of the Year” award for exemplary performance within the account management and sales teams.

As a Sales Executive, I understood the specific needs of corporate accounts and wrote dynamic contracts to move market share and to provide better service. I collaborated with travel management companies daily to meet complex travel demands.Here, I was consistently recognized as a top performer with awards such as the "Employee of the Year" designation in 2010.

I was an expert in international & domestic travel arrangements, high-volume travel planning and ticketing, as well as VIP client account care which helped maximize client retention.Some of the awards I was honored to receive included the Signature Star Award and the OTP Award to name just a few.

In pursuit of my passion for the great outdoors, I started a landscaping business to not only be in nature but to help create and maintain beautiful landscapes one client at a time. To get there required managing sales, advertising, equipment acquisition, payroll, customer relations, and labor. I'm proud of the fact that my partners and I were able to grow our account base to more than 100 businesses and residences in two years, and ultimately sell our business to a new owner.

In this position, I excelled in selling plant programs, maintenance programs, & upgrades to businesses in downtown Chicago. I also managed a team of horticulture service technicians with a focus on excellence and reliability which led to greater client satisfaction, increased sales, and improved retention. In all, I managed an account base of 100+ Chicago businesses while serving on the Advisory Board, Safety Committee, and Recognition Committee.
