I am a recent graduate of the Sustainability program at Chatham University. In my major, my focus was on Natural Resource Management and my minors were in Botany and Food Studies. My studies and interests have been centered around natural resource management through environmental conservation and restoration, along with food justice and the systems that determine equitable access.In my past work, I have been responsible for crop planning, management, and harvesting on an urban gardening level. I have experience with orchard care, irrigation systems, soil health and remediation, processing crops for distribution, and more. More broadly, I have experience with farm management, outdoor/environmental education, community outreach, and food service.In my current position with Venture Outdoors, I work to educate Pittsburgh's youth on topics such as environmental sciences, outdoor recreation, land stewardship, and basic outdoor skills.In my future career, I'd like to lean into the social and community-based aspects of sustainability and natural resource management. I hope to make an impact on my community through education and conservation efforts.
