During this time I have worked with a range of different businesses in many different markets and in a range of different rolls including senior positions such as senior management and key sales roles. Through multiple contacts within the wine and hospitality industry throughout Australia and other international markets, I gathered together these contacts and created a wine wholesale distribution business and called it Red Letter Wines. Since it began in October 2014 the business amassed 150 active wholesale customers throughout Western Australia and Australia, as well as 35 or so private clients. The jobs & responsibilities I was responsible for covered everything involved with running single handedly, a wine wholesale business and there is not enough room available here to cover it all. I have listed below some of what was involved, however a complete resume is available on request and provides this information in detail. Creation and growth of the Red Letter Wines portfolio. Promotion, marketing and sales of the RLWines portfolio into the WA wholesale market.Maintenance and development of the relationships with customers, wine buyers, store managers and their staff. To do this I made contact with a wine making/producing friend of mine from my earlier days in Margaret River - Lenton Brae - and purchased Cabernet/Merlot and Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends as bulk wine. I was first employed as the General Manger of the retail arm of the business, which was 12 retail stores in Singapore, with future plans to acquire 4-6 more stores over the coming months. However after 6 weeks I was promoted to Chief Executive Office of the group and all its departments, which included the twelve retail shops across Singapore, two restaurants in Duxton Hill Singapore, a wholesale wine business with six wholesale sale reps selling into the Singapore trade, a buying team which sourced wine from around the world and from up to 30 international suppliers, oversaw the advertising, marketing and sales departments of all the brands & businesses in Singapore and Malaysia, and the overall running of the head office and related business. In effect I held many roles all tied up into this one position. After a short time working there, I realised the whole business needed major intervention and fixing of its many interests, as it was lacking procedures and systems that would have enabled it to function better.
