NarratorBoston Harbor Cruises Mar 2019 - Nov 2021Boston, Massachusetts, United StatesAs a live narrator using the public address system aboard 90-minute cruises of Boston Harbor, I shared the history of Boston and America by telling facts and stories — all from memory — about the landmarks and historical sites we passed en route. My specialty is making history come alive — like visualizing the two lanterns in the Old North Church steeple that sent Paul Revere on his famous ride on the night of April 18, 1776 to warn residents of the advancing British soldiers on their way to Lexington and Concord at the start of the American Revolution. As a storyteller, I would weave together how Boston grew as a seaport, from the placement of the first lighthouse off the North American coast — Boston Light, 1716 — to the present day, bringing in both container ships and passenger cruise ships that tower over nearby buildings. Passenger comments included, “I understood EVERY word!” and, “Best narration by far of all the tours I’ve taken.”
