CurrentManagement of environmental compliance for 15,141 miles of natural gas pipeline; 48 natural gas compressor stations, of which 31 stations operate under a Title V operating permit in eight states (IA, IL, KS, MN, NE, OK, TX, WI), 19 are major sources with respect to Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), and 14 are major sources of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP). 45 stations operate under a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plan. Primary duties and responsibilities include: Leading the environmental program of Northern Natural Gas Company including the development and implementation of plans and programs to fulfill the environmental mission statement. Directing the activities of the department staff toward efficient accomplishment of environmental compliance in operations, new projects permitting and construction and remediation. Leading in consultation with individual staff members in developing strategy and tactics for dealing with regulatory and state agencies on specific issues related to compliance.
